Calender Continued:
The calender was continued in Term Four. The requirement for both the months of April and May was to include at least fifty percent of our own artwork. For the month of June, we were required to include a "soul collage" in which we used scissors, magazines, and glue to form a handmade collage. I put puppies on mine because I like puppies. We were also required to create a cover, in which I put a bunch of huskies :)))))) Level One students were required to include an extra page. I create a puppy collage and some puppy fun facts. After all the pages were created I created a calender map, in which I mapped out where each photo and grid needed to be placed in order for the calender to be in order when printed and folded. After the calender was printed and folded I stapled the top and turned it in.
Recipe Book:
The class was assigned to create two pages for a recipe book. Each student was given a country to choose two recipe from. I was assigned the Dominican Republic. I chose the recipes for "Tres Leches" Popsicles and Bread "Flan" Cake. Each student was required to use Photoshop to edit pictures to include on the page. We were also required to include the directions and the ingredients. When every student completed the assignment, all the recipes were placed into one recipe book and given to each student with a class photo and class autographs.
Can Label:
Our final assignment was to create a can label. First, we had to figure out the size of our can label. Then we had to use our label measurements and create a blank document in Photoshop. Then, using the guidelines, we had to divide the can up. On the front, we were required to include he company or logo, the product, the product image, and the net weight. On the back, we were required to include nutrition facts, ingredients, company contact info, bar code, expiration date, and symbols. This project helped me put all my knowledge I had gained from the whole year and use it in this final project.
