Calender:
The class was assigned to create a calender for the months of September through June. Throughout this assignment, I learned how to use different programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Paint. Each student was required to choose a theme for their calender. I picked a puppy theme. I love puppies. For each calender we were required to include two photos, one for the top and one to place behind the calender grid. We had to resize all images in Photoshop to 8"x5". We were also required to include a paragraph, the numbered days, holidays, fun facts, and moon phases. I created four different phases of the moon in paint with a paw print it in. I used the color replacement tool in publisher to make the pictures of the moon phases transparent. There was a list of requirements that were different for each month of how to edit the picture that we included. For the month of September, the requirement stated that we must start up using the basic riles on the brief and instructor's directions. For the month of October, we were required to feature at least one image that employs the clone stamp and the color replacement tool. For the month of November, we were required to do the same thing as October and we had to include a line drawing behind the calender table. For both the months of December and January, we were required to use at least fifty percent of our artwork in the main graphic and type on a path in the Illustrator program. For both the months of February and March, we were required to use two new Photoshop tools of our choosing that we learned from the internet on our won. For Term Three, I had enough time to complete months September through March. The rest of the calender was made in Term Four.
